Remember the difference between a big deal and a small deal is only the number of zeros at the end of the deal. It’s the same amount of work. It’s the same amount of effort. It’s the same structure. It’s the same fundamentals. It’s the same due diligence. Everything that you’ve put into a big deal, is going to be exactly the same in a little deal. The difference is, if the little deal goes bad you can probably afford to walk away. If the big deal goes bad and you didn’t do your due diligence, you didn’t do that amount of work and everything else, sometimes it can hurt badly.
